Kate Thompson
Graduate ResearcherResearch Interests: phage driven manipulation of host metabolism and the consequential impact on biogeochemical cycles.
Microbial ecology, Biogeochemistry, Phage biology

Archana Cherukat
Graduate ResearcherResearch interest: I am interested in looking at how viral infections can alter host mechanisms leading to changes in biogeochemical cycles. More specifically I am looking at how viral infections affect the ability of the phytoplankton Synechococcus to produce TEP(Transparent Exopolymer Particle) and form aggregates and how that, in turn, affects the cycling of nutrients such as carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur and so on.
